Listen2-Soul-Music...How and where to go to listen2-soul-music on the web. Listening to internet radio has become one of our favorite things to do for a couple of reasons. We can listen to music with no commercial interruption. It's a chance to hear music by artists that wouldn't normally be played on commercial radio. We'll tell you about sites that are free and others that you pay a minimum subscription fee. Although here at alternative-soul-music.com we first look for stations where we can listen2-soul-music, we found stations playing every genre of music you can imagine.
It's best you have a dsl or cable connection because music online is played through a process known as streaming which usually works better with a high speed connection. What's that?... You say you never heard of audio streaming. Well, if you're really curious there's a book,

. Under books type audio streaming into the search box. You'll also need one of the many software programs available installed on your computer. RealPlayer, Windows Media Player are two of the more popular programs for the pc. If you're a mac user there's iTunes and of course there are others. Then again you can check out
MusicMatch Plus 9.0
. This program has all kinds of extras that will enhance your listening experience and enable you to listen2-soul-music online. You can usually install a free basic version of any of these programs.
Okay, we got the technical stuff out of the way, now let's get back to listening2-soul-music. With MusicMatch Plus we were able to find plenty of top 40 r&b being streamed over the net. But with ourselves being progressive soul artists we look for stations playing progressive or nu soul music.
Soul-Patrol.Net Radio listen2-soul-music
is one of our favorites. Last time we were there we listened to Broadcast #9. It featured indie soul artists Julie Dexter of the U.K., Fertile Ground from Baltimore, Md., Shelley Nicoles' blakbushe, and Rhythm Republik both based in New York City. Julie Dexter has two albums releases we know of "julie dexter dexterity" and "Peace Of Mind", both deserving of a listen. Fertile Ground was also a part of that broadcast...well we can't say enough about this band, there're already legendary on the underground soul scene. We saw them live at Sob's in New York City. Their cd" "Seasons Change" along with Julie Dexters' "dexterity" and Shelley Nicoles' "she who bleeds" and our newest release "Something Good" can all be found at

At alternative-soul-music.com we love listening to funk music. As you may or may not know, soul and funk music go hand in hand. If it's soul it's funky, if it's funk it's soul. At Live 365.com
we found you can listen2-soul-music until...well we won't say when, but there's a lot of funk there. Just go there and type funk into the search box. This certainly is an alternative to traditional radio when it comes listening2-soul-music.
